NOTE If you want to transfer an NVivo license from one person to another, you must deactivate the original user's installations to make the license available to the new user. Assign or unassign licenses or subscriptions If required, you can assign your license to another user for them to activate on their computer. NOTE If you purchased NVivo then by default you are assigned a license. Mac licenses-end-users can activate NVivo on 2 Mac only machines.Īctivation is automatic, using the user's myNVivo profile (see myNVivo). Windows and enterprise licenses-end-users can activate NVivo on 2 Windows machines, 2 Mac machines, or 1 of each. If you have user rights to the computers then you can run NVivo on them.Įach end-user who has been assigned an NVivo license/seat can activate NVivo on two computers: NOTE Your institution may have installed and activated NVivo on its computers for you. Activation registers individual NVivo installations against licenses (or 'seats', for enterprise customers) that have been assigned from within the myNVivo portal. Participants who are K-State faculty and staff may register through HRIS for a formal record of their participation. Those who have already started using NVivo may want to refer to “Using NVivo: An Unofficial and Unauthorized Primer,” which is an evolving e-book built on the Scalar platform that highlights various features of the tool.

QSR International offers some superb video tutorials and both free and for-pay events. The subscriptions are for 24 month periods and available for about $114 or so.
DEMO NVIVO 12 FOR MAC
Student licenses are available by subscription for NVivo 12 Pro or NVivo 12 Plus for Windows, or the NVivo 12 for Mac (which has fewer capabilities). K-State does not have a site license for NVivo 12 Plus. These latter demos are complementary to (not replicative of) what may be achieved with NCapture and the related NVivo. Post-event, if there is interest, the presenter will demonstrate some other tools that enable the easy extraction of all images or videos from a website the mapping of HTTP networks network analysis of user accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube the mapping of related tags networks on Flickr, and more (to enlarge the sense of what may be accomplished with social media data). Small research team trainings will continue to be available on request by faculty.) (This will be the last campus-wide training for NVivo 12 Plus. The presenter will be using the Windows version of the software. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops.
